ADFS began as a working group of visionary industry players passionate about transforming Malawi’s digital finance ecosystem. Supported by the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF), this collaborative effort laid the foundation for a formalized, impactful entity. In 2025, ADFS enters full operational mode—launching with a national mandate to influence policy, support innovation, and ensure access to DFS for every Malawian.
